Job Description:
Motus Africa is looking for a qualified Managing Director to manage full distributorship in Tanzania. Providing strategic, financial and operational oversight for the business and will work closely with the senior leadership team.
Specific Role Responsibilities:
- Managing the full distributorship dealship network and business in the country
- The Managing Director is responsible for providing strategic, financial and operational oversight for the business and will work closely with the senior leadership team.
- Providing accurate analysis of budgets, reports and financial trends and operational procedures.
- Enforce existing, create, improve and implement policies and procedures of the organization that will improve operational and financial effectiveness of the company.
- Evaluate company’s financial, operational, and sales and marketing structures to plan for continual improvements and a continual increase of operating efficiencies.
- Oversee all operations and business activities to ensure they produce the desired results and are consistent with the overall strategy and mission.
- Develop high quality business strategies and plans ensuring their alignment with short-term and long-term objectives. Driving and developing the annual business plan and budget for the business
- Overseeing the distribution and sales results by working closely with the Sales management and the sales teams.
- Thoroughly monitoring the monthly financials and achieving the targets
- Developing, motivating and training the sales and marketing teams.
- Working closely with the regional team and Head Office
- Tracking competition and market developments to proactively adapt plans and strategic direction quickly & effectively.
- Overseeing and ensuring that the after sales function is well managed, and achieving targets for parts and workshop
- Recommending and implementing innovative solutions which will further business growth and efficiency.
- Establishing brand image through effective management of all strategic partners
- Analyse problematic situations and occurrences and provide solutions to ensure company survival and growth.
- Lead and motivate subordinates to advance employee engagement develop a high performing managerial team.
- Establish and maintain effective formal and informal links with major customers, relevant government departments and agencies, local authorities, key decision-makers and other stakeholders generally, to exchange information and views and to ensure that the company is providing the appropriate range and quality of services.

- Relevant Bachelors degree, MBA preferred
- Proven Senior management experience Minumum 10 years Automotive Industry experience
- African Market experience (outside South Africa) an advantage
