The Key Accounts Sales will focus on the Key Account as per account profiles submitted to National Sales + Marketing Manager.
Your Role
The main purpose of the role is to act as the main Kuehne+Nagel’s representative or CEO of the Customer engagement across all offered services, including development of Sea Logistics business to and from Tanzania, In line with the TEU, CBM and GP targets setting, development of Air Logistics business to and from Tanzania in line with volume tonnage and GP targets and more.
Your Responsibilities

  • Directly manages Key Account(s), in accordance with agreed targets, goals and based on company guidelines, understanding the customer organization and decision making process and customer needs and selling KN solutions and offer portfolio
  • Conducts regular and structured review sessions with assigned customers including; process for continuous improvement and innovation, review of customer strategy and priorities as well as operational excellence delivery,
  • Proactively identifies new opportunities for attractive value propositions to increase the share of wallet with assigned customer(s) to secure prosperous pipeline development and all – time accuracy of the CRM system,
  • Responsible for negotiating rates with customers in alignment with the BUs and ensures rate sheets are documented and maintained as needed by the BUs,
  • Monitors monthly performance (including DSO) against set targets, and ensures immediate actions taken in case of deviations (including timely/accurate reporting),
  • Effectively hands over and transitions new business into operations to ensure that customers’ requirements and KN commitments are met
  • Exhibit, demonstrate and champion the KN Behaviours,
  • Shall be required to act wholeheartedly in the interest of the company, and as such the ideal candidate may be required to perform any other reasonable duties as may be assigned by the Management.

Your Skills And Experiences

  • You have minimum Bachelors / First University Degree in Sales/Marketing/Economics or BA from a
    reputable Academic Institution, preferred if you have Masters / Second University Degree
  • It is preferred if you have 2 -5 years of project management experience, as well as international experience and experience in Sales
  • You have excellent communication skills & team player and you have advanced computer skills
  • You have professional selling and problem solving skills
  • You have great spoken and written communication skills
  • You are ethical as expected by KN business conduct
  • It is preferred if you speak English and Kiswahili
  • You are able to travel Domestically and have driving license
