1. ABOUT KILIMANJARO INSTITUTE 
Kilimanjaro Institute is a new established institute to training individuals in Pharmaceutical Sciences and Health Record Management in NTA level 4, 5 and 6 (Certificate to Ordinary Diploma). The Institute is governed by Board of Directors and Advisory Board. Day to day activities is under the Principal who work hand in hand with Quality Assurance Manager, Vice principal Administration, Planning and Finance as well as Vice Principal Academic Affairs.

3. QUALIFICATIONS 3.1 PHARMACEUTICAL SCIENCE TUTOR 
(a) Holder of a Bachelor degree in Pharmacy from recognized institute of Higher Education.
(b) Full registered as Pharmacist with Pharmacy council of Tanzania
(c) Minimal working experience of at least two (2) years in health training institutions
(d) A person with strong interpersonal and organization skills.

(e) Registered/ have qualification to be registered as Technical teacher by NACTE.



3.2 HEALTH RECORD MANAGEMENT TUTOR
(a) Holder of a Bachelor degree in Health Record Management or any other related field from recognized institute.
(b) Have traits to demonstrate understanding, commitment and values of Kilimanjaro Institute.
(c) Registered/ have qualification to be registered as Technical teacher by NACTE.
(d) Minimal working of at least two (2) years in Health training Institutions.




3.3 INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY TUTOR 
(a) Holder of a bachelor degree in Information technology or any other related field from recognized Institute.
(b) Minimal working experience of at least two (2) years in health training institutions.
(c) Have traits to demonstrate understanding, commitment and values of Kilimanjaro Institute

(d) Registered/have qualifications to be registered as Technical Teacher by NACTE.




3.4 NURSE TUTOR 
(a) Holder of a Bachelor degree in Nursing from recognized institute of Higher Education.
(b) Full registered as Nurse with Tanzania Nursing and Midwifery council (TNMC)
(c) Minimal working experience of at least two (2) years in health training institutions

(d) A person with strong interpersonal and organization skills.
(e) Registered/ have qualification to be registered as Technical teacher by NACTE.





3.5 LIBRARIAN 
(a) Holder of Diploma in Library Management or other related field from recognized institute of Higher Education.
(b) Minimal working experience of at least two (2) years in health training institutions.
(c) A person with strong interpersonal and organization skills.
(d) Registered/ have qualification to be registered as Technical teacher by NACTE.

New Job Opportunity at Norwegian Church Aid (NCA), Program Officer. Deadline: 01st August, 2019

Position: Program Officer  
Norwegian Church Aid (NCA) is a Norwegian non-governmental and development organization working to promote Social Justice, Human Rights and Economic Justice for poor communities. NCA has its foundations based in the congregation of churches in Norway, whose efforts are dedicated towards eradicating poverty, its causes and social deprivation. In Tanzania, NCA works in collaboration with local faith based partners.





Background:
From 2015 – 2018 Norwegian Church Aid (NCA) has been managing a Norwegian government grant for Haydom Lutheran Hospital (HLH) in Manyara Region. NCA has just signed an agreement with Norad to manage a new 4-year grant for HLH. The overall goal of the grant is to sustain the quality, accessibility, and affordability of health care services to the communities served by HLH whilst supporting the hospital to transition toward institutional and financial sustainability. In addition to grants management, NCA is supporting the hospital with capacity development in the following areas: a) Clinical Services Monitoring, b) Health Sector Policy Advocacy, c) Hospital governance reform, d) Hospital leadership and management, and e) Replication of HLH innovations in Safer Births in the catchment area, nationally and other relevant NCA Country Programs in Africa. To deliver on these sub-project priorities, NCA will need to facilitate support from relevant expertise and networks. This includes, but is not limited to, support from Christian Social Service Commission (CSSC).

NCA is looking for a structured and result oriented person with very good programme management skills and academic background and/or working experience in health policy, financing, management in Tanzania. Some knowledge of social protection and gender programming is an advantage. The selected candidate will coordinate implementation of the Norad grant agreement and facilitate implementation of the sub-project agreement between HLH and NCA.



Job description

Programme coordination: Provide continuous support to HLH and secure efficient programme implementation. 
Review programme plans, proposals and budgets, and carry out project monitoring and report writing.
Health advocacy: Support and facilitate Haydom Lutheran Hospital in their effort to do effective advocacy towards Tanzanian authorities, and organize arenas for policy dialogue with the Norwegian Embassy in Dar es Salaam and relevant government stakeholder.
Cooperation: Identification of relevant consultants/centres of expertise to assist HLH with capacity and organizational development and facilitation of timely contracts and services from the same.
Budget responsibility for relevant budget posts.

The right candidate will also be able to support the Norwegian Church Aid work under a new Fighting Inequality Programme 2020-2022, which focuses on Tax Funded Social Protection through Universal Health Coverage.
The selected candidate must be available for travel on short notice and travel between 70-90 days per year.




Qualifications
Tanzanian national with a good Bachelor degree or preferably a Masters degree in Health Management, Social Development, Administration or related, relevant topics from a recognized learning institution.
Minimum 5 years of relevant experience from public health, social policy work or International Health NGO in Tanzania.
Excellent project management skills. Experience in coordinating people and processes.
Knowledge and understanding of health systems and health financing in Tanzania is a requirement. International experience and knowledge of health sector donors in Tanzania is an advantage.
Experience in advocacy on health or social protection policy in Tanzania
Good knowledge of the health sector and centres of excellence, which can provide relevant capacity development, training or support services to HLH.
Experience with faith-based social services is an advantage.
Ability to work in a multi-cultural setting and to interrelate with relevant stakeholders both at the national and sub-national levels. Professional interaction with NCA head office in Norway and relevant country offices in Africa is expected.

 Tanzania National Roads Agency (TANROADS) is vested with the responsibility of maintenance and development of Trunk and Regional Roads Networks in Tanzania Mainland. Apart from this, it is also responsible in conducting Axle Load Control Operations using weighbridges.

As a measure to strengthen capacity of discharging TANROADS’ functions effectively, the Regional Manager, TANROADS Kilimanjaro Region seeks to recruit qualified and competent Tanzanian Citizens to fill the vacancies at its Himo Weighbridge Stations and Regional Office.

POSITION TITLE: SECURITY GUARD – (1 POST)
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Guards the premises and properties of the Agency

Control of vehicles
Apprehends anyone who threatens loss, damage, safety or security to agency property and immediately informs the management and/or the police.
Assists in providing evidence in criminal cases involving theft or damage of Agency property.

KEY QUALIFICATIONS:

POSITION TITLE: DRIVER – (4 VACANCIES)
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

The holder of this post who reports to the assigned supervisor will be responsible for carrying out activities as described in the Road Traffic (maximum Weigh of Vehicles) Regulations, 2001 which include the following;
Drive motor vehicles in urban and remote areas;





Maintain the vehicle logbook and all accident records pertaining to the assigned vehicle;
Keep repairs or maintenance needs of the vehicle to the supervisor timely;

Report repairs or maintenance needs of the vehicle to the supervisor timely;
Observe good customer care, dignity and integrity;
Performing such other related duties as may be assigned by the supervisor. 


KEY QUALIFICATIONS:
Holder of a Certificate of Secondary Education Exam (CSEE)
Holder of valid driving license Class E;
Having driving experience of at least five years;
Must be fluent in both written and spoken Kiswahili and English language;
Should have undergone training and attained Trade Test Grade III (mechanics) or Advanced Drivers Course for VIP (Grade I or II) from National Institute of Transport (NIT/VETA).
Not above 35 years of age.
